Compact DALI Oberon 1 Bookshelf Speakers - Black Pair

The DALI OBERON 1 is an ultra-compact bookshelf speaker designed for smaller rooms, discreet audio setups, or wall mounting. The cabinet size balances inner volume for bass performance and a compact appearance for easy integration.

The wide dispersion pattern of the drivers ensures well-integrated sound that drastically reduces off-axis harmonic distortion, making it easy to position the OBERON 1. The contemporary design features rounded edges and a grille fabric that adds a lighter and more modern look, enhanced by the elegantly shaped aluminium base on the floorstanding models.

The reinforced wood fibre cone of the woofer reproduces details that are uncoloured and highly accurate, thanks to its stiff and lightweight structure. The patented SMC (Soft Magnetic Composite) in the woofer's magnet system greatly reduces mechanical distortion, allowing for a relaxed midrange and a surprising amount of detail.

The oversized 29 mm ultra-lightweight soft dome tweeter, specifically developed for the OBERON series, combines well-proven technologies with new features. The large membrane size generates higher sound pressure with less excursion, and the tweeter front plate has been designed to create the best possible working conditions for the soft dome, resulting in extended frequency response, wide dispersion, and low colouration.

The OBERON 1's cabinet is constructed from a high-density, CNC-machined MDF board dressed in high-grade vinyl, with solid bracings across the inside to practically eliminate cabinet resonance. The bass ports at the rear of the cabinet optimise room integration by using a rear wall surface to improve bass performance, and there's also a keyhole bracket at the back for on-wall mounting.

The driver materials, crossover design, and geometry applied in the OBERON series have been selected to achieve a wide dispersion pattern, while the rounded edges and rustic fabric of the new DALI front grilles add a lighter and more contemporary visual look to the series.

The OBERON woofer's wood fibre cone, with its blend of fine-grain paper pulp reinforced with wood fibres, creates a stiff, lightweight, and well-behaving structure. In combination with a low-loss surround and spider suspension, this cone reproduces the micro details in the signal, unfiltered and with high accuracy.

The iron pole piece of the OBERON woofer magnet is crowned by a patented SMC disk, minimizing the negative effects of the iron and reducing mechanical distortion for a relaxed midrange and a surprising amount of detail.
